Greg believes that he should give voice to the people he represents. This is why he has established the District Liaison program for the district. He has asked various people to help him stay up-to-date on the needs our district faces and the possible solutions to guide towards a better future.
The first liaisons for the area are:
Patrick Kelly – Owner of Captain Smiley Fishing Charters
Patrick is a lifelong resident of North Myrtle Beach and is a respected charter captain and fishing guide. It was Patrick that first mentioned to Rep Duckworth that the Swing Bridge should be named after Capt. “Poo” McLauchlin. Greg was able to work with Senator Hembree to quickly pass the resolution this spring with Captain Kelly’s support.
Phil Webster – Retired Police Chief
In his 25 years of Service to North Myrtle Beach, Phil saw a small town grow and came to know the needs and goals of the area.
Marlisa Small – Owner of Marlisa’s Wig Studio
Marlisa was diagnosed with cancer in 1991. She is not defined by this but inspired by the strength and courage she sees in other survivors and those just learning about their illness and those going through treatments. Her studio also works in duet with Bold & Beautiful Wigs for Cancer, a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Charity group organized to provide social support and services to those undergoing treatment for cancer.
Eric Lewis – Retired Police Officer
Eric is known to many locals as “Mr. Community Service” and quietly works in the commnuity from helping raise money for the Humane society to outreach for at-risk youth. Eric formed the NMB Explorer post and has trained many area youth to become more than even they thought they could become.
Sandra Bair – Advocate
Sandra is not just a Survivor of domestic abuse that resulted in homelessness, she has rebounded to become an advocate for women and the homeless. Sandra’s smile and bright spirit hide the trials she has endured. She is a staunch advocate for a new emergency shelter for Criminal Domestic Violence in Horry County. Her ministry has spread across the country and she continues to inspire and motivate people.Terry McCoy – President OD Shag Club
Originally from Camden, Terry and his wife Kathy moved here in 2013. He is very active in the community as a volunteer and also serves as President of the Ocean Drive Shaf Club. Terry loves North Myrtle Beach and is glad to call it home!
