22 May We Need to Get Fair Share, by Ann Raymond of North Myrtle Beach

Ann Raymond quote
Why does the coastal region always send more tax money to the state than we get back? I’m tired of always donating funds to the midlands and the upstate regions.

It doesn’t have to be like that. The midlands legislators and the upstate legislators have found ways to work together to make sure their regions get their fair share of benefits. In fact, they get more than their fair share.

Why don’t we? We don’t get our fair share because we don’t have a representative from our district that can work with other legislators to build a coalition that will vote together to make sure we get our share.

We can change that on June 10th. Greg Duckworth is a candidate for the SC House of Representatives District 104. Duckworth has shown that he can get people to work together for the common good.

Greg Duckworth brought various groups within the city of North Myrtle Beach and Horry County together and worked out ways to have those groups work together so that they all got what they wanted. He found ways to minimize their differences and maximize the similarities. Duckworth was able to synergize the energies of the various constituencies so that they each got more than they could have gotten on their own.

Duckworth can do that for the coastal region, too. He can work with the other area representatives and senators to make sure we finally get our “fair share!”
